About me

Hello and welcome to the site! I am Sibashish, a research scholar at the Centre for Sensors, Instrumentation, and Cyber Physical System Engineering (SeNSE), Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. To carry on my research, I have been selected as one of the renowned Prime Minister's Research Fellowships (PMRF) in Cycle 9, 2022. As a future researcher, I'm interested in learning more about the Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), a very sensitive method that improves the Raman scattering of molecules supported by various nanostructured materials. My study focuses on designing a substrate for surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and optimizing it using numerical simulations and experimental testing. My ultimate goal is to design, fabricate, and assess a SERS active substrate that can detect trace analytes for narco-analysis, explosive detection, food/water adulterants, and bio-diagnostics. A prototype sensor for in-situ, portable application will be developed using an optimized SERS substrate and data analysis.
